About me...

China2007_140I discovered America in the early fall of 1965.  I found Jesus at five or six.  I remember my father sharing Jesus with me in my bedroom one night.  In a simple, childlike fashion, I believed what my dad shared and began a journey of faith that I am still on today.

My childhood and youth years were fairly normal.  I remember having good friends.  I played with and fought with my two younger brothers.  Almost everything we did as a family was centered in Jesus.  I thank my folks for keeping us grounded.

I met my wife to be on her first day of college.  She was a freshman and I was a sophomore.  For some time we were just good friends.  We began to spend more and more time together and gradually we realized that we were best friends.  I married my best friend in the later part of 1987.

I became a banker.  I began by pulling credit files and worked my way up to making business loans.  I was a banker for 14 years.  It was a good career.  God used it to teach me many things.  I believe I was exactly where God wanted me to be during that stage of my life.

In the late fall of 1998 I was asked to go on a short-term mission trip to Russia.  God used this trip to change my life.  He showed me how big His world was and how small mine was.  I began to sense a call to align my world with His world.

I was consumed with a study of missions and mission strategy.  The man who asked me to go to Russia began to disciple me.  This was not an easy journey.  I had a two year period of running from God and then back to Him as I sought to understand His call on my life.  I began to sense that God was leading me to begin an Abrahamic type journey.  I came to know that He was asking me to step out in faith and trust Him to show me step by step what He wanted me to do.  I quit my banking job and started in ministry in early 2001.

I am the Executive Director and Founder of Every Nation, a mobilization and sending organization focused on the unreached in the 10/40 Window. Every Nation currently has eleven missionaries on the field. I am also the Mission Director of Heart of God Ministries, which is also a training, mobilization and sending agency focused on the unreached in the 10/40 Window.  Heart of God Ministries has 56 missionaries, not counting children, serving on 9 teams in 6 different countries.

I have traveled to more than 20 countries and ministered among all of the major religious blocks. I have been married for 21 years and have a 12-year old son. I am currently pursuing the Master of Arts in Global Leadership degree at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Email me and let's talk.  I would love to help you go to the nations...
